Restoring nature: now show where and how
Portugal offers a place to start. Its government announced submission on August 28, following a summer public consultation. It identifies initiatives in places including Serra da Estrela and Peneda-Gerês National Park, where promises can eventually be checked against work on the ground. The same release calls for adequate European funding. A filed plan is not a fully funded programme.
